The service life of a cooling fan is determined by three major factors: bearing type, working environment, and operating conditions. The commonly used evaluation index in the industry is MTBF (mean time between failures), which needs to be adjusted based on actual operating parameters. The following are specific judgment methods and influencing factors: MTBF is a key parameter for measuring the reliability of fans, which refers to the average time, in hours (h), from the start of operation to the first failure of a batch of fans of the same model under specified conditions. The manufacturer's nominal MTBF testing conditions The MTBF value provided by the manufacturer is tested under standard operating conditions, with the default conditions being: Environmental temperature: 25 ℃ -40 ℃ (commonly 40 ℃) Supply voltage: rated voltage ± 5% Operating status: Continuous full load operation Environmental conditions: clean, dry, free of dust and oil stains For example, the nominal MTBF of a double ball bearing DC fan is 50000 hours (40 ℃), which means that under these conditions, 50% of the fans can operate stably for more than 50000 hours.
